Howdy. Happy New Year!…belatedly. Already it is off to a dramatic (even horrific) start with post-fire mudslides in the Santa Barbara area causing grief and dislocation for many. This includes my girlfriend who has, temporarily at least, abandon the area to come stay with me. Work on Sparta has slowed as a result. Still, there is small progress to report.
Once again my gradual pace of work has afforded me the opportunity to do now what should have been done weeks ago – without having to tear stuff out and undo work. Specifically, I have come to realize that five of my 12 volt, LED lights will require the installation of recessed “can” fixtures in the ceiling. Good thing my birch ceiling panels are still not in place as it is much easier to install the lights with an open ceiling.
This blurry photo is of a 3″ can fixture purchased from AdvanceLEDsolutions. They have a website of the same name and have a marvelous selection of 12v, LED products for every application. I got 5 of these for about $75 mailed to my home within a week. They installed easily and are adjustable both right to left and up and down. If my circle cut-out in the birch isn’t spot on, no worries!
